North Cadbury Allotment Association
The North Cadbury Allotment Association was formed in May 2010 and developed from land given to the Parish Council in Ridgeway Lane. There are currently 19 plots available, all of which are currently occupied. The allotments have successfully brought members of the community together and offered opportunities for people of all ages and walks of life to share a mutual interest.
Anyone interested in an allotment should contact the Chairman who will put their name on a waiting list until such time as one becomes available. There is a small annual subscription for each plot and an AGM is held normally in April.
North Cadbury and District Gardening Club
The North Cadbury and District Gardening Club meets on the 3rd Wednesday of each month at the Village Hall at 7.30pm. For a small annual subscription, members enjoy a varied group of speakers through September to May. Meetings end with a cup of tea or coffee and time for a chat.
Summer outings are arranged to beautiful gardens and other places of interest, these have included Wisley, Rosemoor and many others. An evening event is organised in the summer months, often followed by a barbecue, lately held in the Village Hall. The final event of the year is a Christmas Dinner for all members and their spouses.
The Plant Sale in May is the perfect opportunity for members and non-members alike to buy their annuals and young vegetable plants and in August everyone, from the youngest to the eldest in the family, is welcome to participate in the Annual Show.
New members are most welcome - just come along to a Wednesday meeting or telephone us for further information.

John Baxter, Photographer, Wincanton
I have worked as a professional photographer for 17 yrs and qualified as a Licentiate with the British Institute of Professional Photography.
I specialise in informal portraiture carried out in your own home, garden or place of your choice. Much of my work is photographing families, often including three generations – plus the animals! I also do individual portrait sessions and special sessions with special animals.
After years using studio lighting and film I find the freedom and spontanaity that results from working with people in their own homes using a good digital camera is far better. The result is relaxed studies which not only capture the sitter’s character and style, but also the atmosphere that goes with a unique sense of place.
